Workshop service for your existing steel-tip darts. Tiger machines suitable barrels so they can accept supported screw-in point systems instead of fixed points.

Current turnaround: 2-3 working days from receiving your darts to dispatching them back to you.
Compatibility and suitability
- Target Swiss Point: supported.
- Harrows Quick Point: supported.
- Winmau: current and newer barrels may be suitable. Some older or first-edition barrels can require a separate adaption route.
- Winmau Switch: use our Screw Point Adaption service.
The service is for suitable steel-tip darts. It is most commonly used on tungsten barrels, but suitable brass steel-tip barrels can also be converted. Soft-tip darts are not covered by this service.
Barrel design, dimensions, damage, wear or previous modification can affect suitability. If you are unsure about a particular set, contact us before sending your darts.
What is included
- Removal of normal intact fixed points where needed for preparation.
- Drilling and threading the point end of suitable barrels for the supported screw-in system.
- Workshop inspection when the darts arrive before the modification is carried out.
New screw-in points are not included. You can add suitable points from our dart points range to the same order.
If a point is broken and lodged inside a barrel, you will also need Broken Dart Point Removal for each affected barrel. That work is separate from normal fixed-point removal.
How ordering and sending works
- Order Screw Point Conversion for the set you want us to modify.
- Your order confirmation will contain the current instructions for sending your barrels to Tiger.
- Package the barrels securely. If intact points are still fitted, protect them with a point protector or suitable wrapping.
- Once received, Tiger checks the darts, carries out the workshop work and returns them through the normal fulfilment process.
You do not need to remove intact fixed points yourself if you do not have the correct repointing tool.
Weight loss
Drilling and threading removes a small amount of material, so the barrel weight will reduce. The exact change depends on the barrel and the work required. Tiger's current published guide is:

Important before ordering
- This is a physical, non-reversible modification.
- The modification may invalidate the original manufacturer's warranty.
- Final suitability can depend on the physical condition and construction of the darts when inspected.
Aftercare
Metal-on-metal threads can loosen with use. Tighten the point when needed, but do not over-tighten it as this can damage the thread, point or fitting tool.

Delivery Options
Tiger Darts branded, stylised brands, general darts products and accessories from the store are all stock items and will be dispatched same working day if ordered before 4pm (cut-off).
Tiger Darts "Merch" and all charity products are made to order, and usually ship within 3 working days.
Our design and repair services all carry individual lead times which can be found on the service page. Please note that coating services can take up to 3 weeks due to the batching process we employ to keep the cost to you down. We therefore specify a 28 day turnaround, but in reality this is often just 2 weeks - and we're working hard to get this down to under a week as we now how you feel without your favourite set to hand!
Where possible, to reduce shipping costs and packaging waste, we will send all items in your order together.

Items are normally only shipped Monday to Friday.
Order Tracking
We only use Royal Mail tracked services so you will always receive a tracking URL to follow your parcel. In cases where the entire order is dispatched separately, you'll receive more than one of these.
Packaging
We strive to use eco-friendly packaging materials and may reuse boxes and packaging where possible in alignment with our sustainability promise. We appreciate they may not be the prettiest, but it's what's inside that counts!
International Restrictions & Duty
We cannot accept responsibility for any additional costs incurred due to import taxes or customs duty that maybe applied when being received in your delivery country. Please check in advance if these might be applied.
Due to the nature of our products, some restrictions may apply to the country you are in, please check in advance regarding the products you are ordering, to avoid any disappointment.
Items Sent To Us
For design and customisation services such as PVD Coating, Shot Blasting and Groove Painting, please make sure that you first protect your darts by wrapping them carefully and separately or using a point protector so they avoid rubbing together in transit.
All items sent to us are done so at the owners risk. Whilst we endeavour to preserve the condition of your items, issues with carriers and production accidents can occur.

Returns
Whether you're ordered a stylised dart set, new set of Tiger Darts or even simply a mug, we want you to be happy with your purchase, and if you're not, we're here to help :)
To start a return, please contact us within 21 calendar days of purchase. Use the Contact Us page and select "Request a Return" to get a returns reference. We'll then send you the next steps.
Lost or Damaged Items
We are not directly responsible for Royal Mail and their overseas delivery partners, therefore any item that is advised as lost or damaged in transit will only be replaced following a successful investigation and compensation claim from Royal Mail due to the products bespoke one-off nature.
Items are not regarded as lost with the Royal Mail until 15 working days (UK) or 21 working days (Europe & RoW) have elapsed from date of posting.
Claims for lost items must be made within the time frame stated above, for damaged items we must be notified immediately upon receipt.
We work with Royal Mail during the investigation and claim process period to clarify the package is 100% lost, a letter for details will be sent by Royal Mail to the intended recipient. This process can take up to 30 days to reach its conclusion.
On notification of a suspected lost item we will forward a claim form which must be completed and returned within 48 hours. This will form part of the investigation with Royal Mail.
